Want to yuk it up for a good cause? Don’t miss Demetri Martin’s hilarious hijinks at the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Comedy Night Fundraiser. The multi-talented Martin began his career doing stand-up in NYC. His style got him noticed by Conan O’Brien, who hired him as a staff writer. Afterward, Martin performed regularly on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” and released his own comedy albums and specials, including “Demetri Martin Live” for Netflix. He has also written two books, made appearances on TV and in feature films, and most recently wrote and directed “Dean,” his own feature film. Proceeds from the event will be split equally between the Providence St. Mary Foundation and The Mom’s Network for the ongoing benefit of mothers and babies of the Walla Walla Valley. The event will begin at Whitman College’s Cordiner Hall on Saturday, March 11 at 5:15 p.m., and Martin will take the stage at 8:15 p.m. For tickets and details, contact Lindsey Oldridge at (509) 897-2071.
