May Features Two Fabulous Concerts at the Gesa

May 08, 2018

This month, the Gesa Power House Theatre is hosting two terrific shows. First, the Walla Walla Choral Society Concert will be performing “Light, Life, and Home" on May 14. This is the Choral Society’s final concert for the season and includes a sampling of musical numbers reminiscent of the most emotional and basic parts of our lives. The concert will also show works by local photographer Mark Van Donge as an accompaniment to the music, and the Crimson and Black Choir from McLaughlin High School will join the Choral Society for the performance. And, Beatle fans of all ages will be happy to hear that the Seattle Rock Orchestra returns to the Gesa on May 19 with a rocking Beatles extravaganza. “Beatles: Number Ones” was inspired by the Fab Four’s many #1 hits, as well as B-side recordings which also became chart-toppers of the times. Concert-goers can go back in time with such unforgettable tunes as “Eight Days a Week,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Penny Lane,” “Hey, Jude,” and many other Beatles tunes.
