Veterans and Christmas Parades, a Holiday Market, and “The King and I”

November 01, 2018

This month, Walla Walla offers an array of seasonal and entertaining events for our guests and residents, and some of our favorites are listed here. First, get ready to pare down that holiday shopping list at the Junque Jingle Vintage and Holiday Market on November 3. Held at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds, the Market will showcase juried vendors offering such finds as architectural and industrial salvage, antiques, vintage collectibles, and holiday-related items. Next, join us in saluting our nation’s veterans on November 11 at the annual Veterans Day Parade. Thousands will line the streets to watch a variety of floats, marching bands, and much more at this patriotic event.

Also, don’t miss the Gesa Power House Theatre’s presentation of “Live Cinema” The King and I” on November 29. This is the famous version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical was recorded live at the Palladium in London and recounts the tale of an unusual and impassioned relationship between a schoolteacher and a king. Lastly, be sure to stick around for our Annual Macy's Holiday Parade of Lights on December 1. This beloved event always kicks off the holiday season and brings thousands of delighted spectators to downtown Walla Walla.
